March, officially the start of Spring, comes with a wealth of content ideas you can tap into. And hopefully some warmer weather! From encouraging new beginnings to Easter promotions, you are bound to find a few relatable topics to connect with your audience. You do have to watch out for your dates as holidays based on Easter have a habit of moving every year.
You can never go wrong with these. They range from the downright silly to serious awareness topics. Just be sure to pick ones that are relavant to your niche and have fun with it. Here are a few of my favourites (you can find even more ideas in the March Social Media Calendar).
- March 04: Grammar Day
- March 14: Pi Day
- March 19: Client’s Day
- March 20: First Day of Spring
- March 23: Puppy Day
- March 01-31: Women’s History Month
- March 01-31: Craft Month
Easter can be as early as March the 22nd – to keep us on our toes. So it is important to get your dates right so you can start planning your Easter promotion. Giveaways and competitions are usually a great hit at this time. It doesn’t even have to be too related to your business – guess the number of Easter eggs in a jar for example.
Events that are likely to make the news or be televised can get quite a following on social media. Red Nose Day is this month so you can give back and get great content at the same time.
It is important to post content that connect with your audience and gets the conversation flowing. Your feed shouldn’t just be about selling. It should reflect your business personality. Think memes, light-hearted questions, motivational quotes and fun facts.
